<lj:music>David Jordan - Sun goes down</lj:music>

As I may have mentioned, went to Blackpool with a few of my mates during half term week. We only went for a few days but it was so great!

Had to leave really early to get to catch the train into Birmingham, THEN we had to try and find the coach station THEN walk for miles trying to find it, only to find it was delayed 20 minutes, so we had to wait AAAAGES for it to get there... but even that was kind of fun :D

Took about 3 hours to travel up there. We all just sat talking, eating maoams all the way :D

Once we got to Blackpool we had to actually find the B&B we were staying at, all the while pulling very heavy suitcases behind us might I add!

Went out to the cinema the first night (ha ha - another long search for the cinema :P) Saw Cloverfield, which was quite good actually.

Next day was Pleasure Beach day! The Pepsi Max was closed due to bad weather, but we went on most of the other rides; Ice Blast, VALLHALA (got so wet on that!), Grand National, INFUSION, Irn Bru, Avalanche... you get the picture.

Went for a chinese while we were there, that was pretty good. And, I did of course take pictures all the while (which is what I'm going to leave you with... cheerio!)

<lj-embed id="4" />

(Click) If you can't see the above slideshow.

Flinchalot

Ahh, can't belive I haven't updated this thing since last month - that's really bad :P

Don't really have an excuse - it's just been pretty busy at sixth form and stuff. Went back to work last weekend, woop (ahem, not.) AND they finally gave me a name badge (with my name on it!!!) so got very excited about that on monday lol.

Break up this Thursay (tomorow) for half term. Me and a couple of mates are going to Blackpool for a couple of days, which is gonna be ace :D Went shopping for a suitcase yesterday with one of my mates... was not fun having to go on the bus with that home :P

Oh yeah, and my Dad found a new house (don't think I mentioned he was looking for one, but yeah) - it's about half an hour away from Salt Lake City, but apparently it's really nice - they're moving in end of this month(!!!)

Haven't really got much else to say. Bought some bargain Jeans yesterday (only £12.99!) and these really cute shoes as well (£6) so that put me in a happy mood :D

Ok, that's all.

Flinchalot

    <lj:music>Lostprophets - Burn Burn</lj:music>

Been a bit bit busy since I started back at sixth form (hence the lack of updating) - exams went reeeeally badly. Maths weren't so bad, biology was just about managable and chemistry just got worse as it went on :-/. If I get less than a "B" in any of them I'm gonna have to retake them in the summer, which I don't really want to do, but looks like I'll have no choice.

Found out today as well that I have all 3 of my psychology exams on the same day in the beginning of May! That's 3 hours in a row writing about memory, conformity and all that crap :(

Anyway, trying to think of something positive to talk about so I don't sound like a total whiner - OH YEAH, after my shift tomorow I have 2 whole weeks off work! They made me book up all my holidays ages ago, so it's not like I really needed the time off, but it's still gonna be great :D

I'm not gonna know what to do with myself on the weekends now - I've forgotten what I used to do before I started working, since I haven't had a day off since I started back in July!

Anyway, am off to play Sims 2 (that game is addictive I swear!)

Flinchalot

Woah - hadn't realised it's been that long since my last post - just goes to show how busy christmas and new year can get. I spent a lot of time working, which isn't good considering i work in a very popular supermarket - the sunday before christmas was quite simply a knightmare!

Anyway, christmas day was... ok i guess. Missed my Dad a lot. I got lots o' stuff, including Heroes Season 1 on DVD (which I'd finished watching in two day :O) Tourchwood series 1, this chinese dressing gown (which my nan'd got me from china) lots of shampoo, lots of pjamas (seriously - I got like 4 pairs!) HSM socks (my mum's idea of a joke I think :P) And some other stuff i can't remember :P

New Year's Eve I went to my Uncle's (as we do every year.) It was fancy dress (I went as a surgeon :P) and I spent most of the evening on their Nintendo Wii (my sister beat me every time on Wii Sport's tennis.)

Then, on thursday I went over to my mate jodie's house for a bit of group chemistry revision. The whole of our group went (there's only 5 of us) and we didn't get much work done, since we got a bit distracted playing atmosphere and spyro lol. THEN I had maths revision at 6 form yesterday, which i was 45 minutes late to, since it started at 9 and i usually get up at 9.30 :P

So not looking forward to these exams. I mean, I could always re-take them in the summer, but I've got even more exams then, and it'd just mean more stress :(

Yeah, this is getting to be a bit of a long post, so I'm gonna leave it at that while i go play sims 2... I mean, revise of course :D

Flinchalot

It was alright actually - the ending was different to the book, but overall not bad.

Oh yeah, and my sister broke our computer (yet again :P) so we've temperaraly stolen my nan's until I go buy mine after christmas (still debating whether or not to get a laptop or not...)

Anyway, it's now 20 past 10 and I have a tonne of courswork to do - biology and psychology. It was so cool, I mean, I spent most of the day exhausted 'cause we had to get up at 7.00 in the morning, but y'know :P Hotel weren't that nice either (apparently it's too difficult to learn how to cook vegetable properly :P) but we had a good time christmas shopping in cambridge. <lj:music>Avril Lavinge - when you're gone</lj:music>

Has is seriously been two weeks since I last updated this thing!? Woah, that is pretty shocking :P

So yeah, things have been pretty average around here lately. Sixth form is still ace - I had one day where I didn't have ANY lessons at all, but still had to go in (so I could get my ema) which was kind of annoying, but appart from that.

Work kind of sucks. I know I shouldn't let it get to me - it is after all only a weekend job, but still.

I was thinking of buying a laptop pretty soon. I mean, it would only take a couple of months to save up my wages and I could afford it. Plus, it'll mean I won't have to argue with my sister's over who gets to use this computer :P

I asked my mate liz on msn to tell me something random the other day, this is what she came up with (it's a Queen lyric):
"This kettle is boiling over, I think I'm a banana tree, oh dear, i'm going slightly mad!"
Cheered me right up :P

Anywho, that is all my friends, I'm off. See you in two weeks. Or sooner if I remember :P

Flinchalot

<lj:music>the academy is.... - Skeptics and true believers</lj:music>

It seriously does not feel like I've only been at sixth form for a couple of weeks - it seems like forever! Seriously - we've all settled into our little routines now; lessons, frees in the cafe and lunch over the centre.

It was so funny today at chemistry - we tied Luke to his chair (on the minibus) from the tassley ties on his hoodie :P We did it last week as well, only we tied him to a railing that time :D Muahahaha!

We was all trying to build card houses today during free period. It was great - the tallest one we could build was three stories high. We had chance to take a picture of it before it got knocked down by a stray flying biscuit :P

Got a tonne of work due in tomorow, but since I got roped into doing overtime at work I'm gonna have to do it first lesson tomorow. Lucky I've got a free ennit :P

Don't think I've got anything un-sixth-form related left to say (cause I know how dull it is to talk constantly about school.) So yeah, that is all.

Flinchalot

    <lj:music>Muse - Supermassive Black Hole</lj:music>

Yup - week one of sixth form is finally over, and I am officially knackered :P It's amazing how much work you get from only 4 subjects! I've already got a ton of homework for over the weekend :(

So far I'm glad I picked the subjects that I did. Well, I'm stiff iffy about chemisty since we have to do it at another school, 20 minutes away! (since for some reason we can't do it at our school.) There's only 5 people (including me) who are doing chemistry, so we're in a group with 11 other people from this other school.

Psycology was good today as well. We're doing this experiment, using the game operation, to find out whether practise makes people's performance better. Oh yeah, and I am loving the fact that we get free periods off. Of course, we're not allowed home or offsite during that time, so we have to sit in the cafe or the library (since they haven't finished renovating the sixth form block yet) but it's still great.

Anyway, enough about school 'cause that can get kind of boring to read about. I recieved and watched my CSI season 6 DVDs, got paid, then decided to buy the first part of season 7 which has just come out. Only got one episode left to watch (episode 12).

so, plans for this weekend would be - do homework, go to work, go uptown, watch final csi episode. and er... that would be it. Bye for now.

Flinchalot

Yup - only four days left until I start sixth form, seems like forever since I was last in school. Just incase I haven't mentioned it yet, I'm doing Chemistry, Biology, Maths and Psycology A Levels. In a way, I kinda don't want to go back to having to sleep normal and do work every day, but I have to say, after nearly 3 months off I'm getting kinda bored O.o

At the moment I'm waiting for the post to arrive. Sounds kind of odd, but I ordered CSI season 6 off Amazon ages ago, and they should be arriving today (fingers crossed!)

Other plans for today would be
1) Go to Post office and post latest Bookmooch request.
2) Clean Room.

So yeah, very exciting day planned out </sarcasm>

Anyway, that's al folks, until next time.

Flinchalot

Yup, the last Harry Potter book came out last friday, and having been a Harry Potter Fan since I was 11, I went up (with my cousins) to get the last book at the midnight opening. We were the first one's there (we arrived at about 11:20) and so were the first ones to get our books! I got discount on mine as well since my cousin worked at the store we got them from :P

Stayed up until 2.00 in the morning reading, until I remembered I had work that day and forced myself to go to sleep :P

Oh yeah, my first day of work - that went soooo well </sarcasm>. A bottle of wine fell off the conveyer belt and smashed all over the floor!!! Trust that to happen to me on my first day :P

Also saw the latest Harry Potter Film the other day (I swear, I'm not that obsessed :P). It was ok, I was in a good mood so I didn't pick out all the bits they missed out from the books (like I did with the previous films :P).

My computer's still not fixed, but I stayed at me Nan's last night so I'm using hers. Oh! And my Dad phoned last night from America! It's his birthday in a couple of weeks, so we're sending him something over. Nan says it has to be something light so it doesn't cost a fortune in postage :P

Anyways, I do believe I have ran out of stuff to say, so until I can next get onto a computer.

Flinchalot

    <lj:music>Taking back Sunday - You're so last summer</lj:music>

Yup, I got back from Turkey at 7.00 on Tuesday morning, having not slept in nearly 24 hours (I don't like flying so I find it hard to sleep on planes.) So I spent the day sleeping and catching up on a weeks worth of missed TV :P Sad I know, but I was too tired to care!

Then, I go to go on the computer yesterday only to find out that it won't turn on. I was beyond annoyed - my mum's trying to find someone to fix it, but it's past its warranty, so she reckons it might be cheaper to just buy a new one!

So yeah, looks like I'll lose all my sims 2 data AGAIN, and it means that until then I have to come all the way into town to use the library computers, which I can't do every day 'cause the bus fare's too high now I can't get away with a child's ticket :(

Anyway, enough of me moaning - I suppose I should talk about my holiday really :P It was ok actually - really hot, beautiful suroundings - we went on two boat trips which was fantastic! Oh - and I had a Turkish bath as well, which was also good.

Only think bad about the whole thing was getting sunburnt! I wouldn't have minded if it was near the end of the week - but it was on the second day, which means I had to stay covered up for the rest of the holiday! I started to live in my football shirt since it was the longest sleeved top I took.

So yeah, Turkey was great, but I'm glad to be back. Not looking forward to going back to work on Saturday, but you can't have everything in life :P
Anyway, my two hours are nearly up, so I gotta go.

Flinchalot

Oops :P

Anyway, I'm completely exhausted today 'cause I had to get up at 6.30 yesterday morning to go to Alton Towers (the theme Park if you don't know it). It was fanta-tastic! We went on LOADS of rides - "oblivion" still remains my favorite, but "air" was pretty good as well. There weren't too many long queues either which was good.

In fact, the only problem we had throughout the day was that it wouldn't stop raining! Seriously - my hair was straight and dry when we left, by the time we got half way around the park I looked like a drowned rat :P And just when I thought I couldn't get any wetter - we went on "the flume," which left me pretty much drenched :P Oh well, we was having too much fuin to notice :P

So, after that incredibly longer-than-usual entry, I would like to day goodbye, since it's 11:47am and I'm feeling a bit hungry :P

Flinchalot

We went to this greek restaurant which was actually quite cool. It was well funny :P

We're going quad biking on wednesday as well, which should be a laugh.

Oh yeah - I finally got a job!
YES!!!
Had my last exam today - physics, AND I finished 40 minutes early, so I was sat there for what seems like aaages just staring at the massive clock in the sports hall, just waiting...and waiting...and waiting some more for 10 past 10 :P

It's just such a big relief as well! I've got a whole two months now of just relaxation, and then the dreaded exam results come out at the end of August :O.

Might be going on holiday in July - Turkey :D Just with my mum, her friend, and my sisters, so yeah, should be good.

Also gonna make a CV and apply for jobs everywhere - might as well earn some money this holidays :P

Anyway, that's all for now.

Flinchalot

Well, my first week of non-stop exams is nearly over. So far, I have done:

Geography (paper 1)
Maths (paper 1)
English (paper 1)
Graphics
Biology
and
English (paper 2)

So far, I think graphics and english (paper 2) have been the hardest. Maths was a lot easier than I thought it'd be, as was geography. Biology I'm pretty worried about, 'cause I think I could have done better in that.

Oh well, too late now.

Tomorow I have 2 exams!!! French reading and french listening in the morning, then history in the afternoon.

It's gonna be great </sarcasm>

Flinchalot
